Chiesa di San Carlo Borromeo
The torrent swept it away, so they rebuilt it higher up.

The first church of Fucine dedicated to San Carlo Borromeo dated from the 17th century, and in 1846 it was swept away when the Vermigliana torrent burst its banks. When it was decided to rebuild it, between 1902 and 1904, it was placed upstream of the village, in a safer position: a lesson learned at their own expense, like many in this valley.
It was blessed on 27 November 1904, but not long afterwards the First World War reduced it to a military depot of the Austro-Hungarian army. It became a church again on 29 September 1920, the day of San Michele. Inside are a neo-Gothic wooden altar by the sculptor Perathoner and some 18th-century paintings, saved from the church that the torrent had destroyed.
