80 areas with a perimeter or a point: two parks covering 80,144 hectares in and around the valleys, 6 provincial nature reserves, 30 sites of the European Natura 2000 network and 42 local reserves. They are the reason why certain things are still here.

Parks 2

A nature park or national park: a protected area established by law, with a body that manages it and its own rules on access, gathering and activities. The rules in force are on the park’s website.

An area established by the Autonomous Province of Trento to protect habitats and species of particular value, with its own protection regime.

A site of the European Natura 2000 network, designated for the habitats and species of the Habitats Directive. Works that may affect them are subject to assessment.

An area of natural interest identified by the municipality in its own plan. The Province publishes its point, not its perimeter.
