In a mountain valley, associations are not the trimmings: they are public life. The band, the pro loco, the volunteer fire brigade, the choir, the alpine group. They make a village’s calendar, and almost every event in these valleys is organised by them, not by a company.
The space here is free, and it stays that way: an association pays nothing and has no plans to choose from.

What kinds of associations
Five groups and not nine, on purpose: in a valley the alpine group runs the gathering, the chestnut festival and the path maintenance, and with nine boxes it would end up in three. The type says what an association is, not everything it does.
