Chiesa del Ritrovamento della Croce
Built between 1943 and 1948, with the money and the labour of the village.

It is a twentieth-century church, built between 1943 and 1948 to a design by the architect Efrem Ferrari. The construction involved the local community to a great extent: people contributed actively both to raising funds and to the manual work. These were the years when people built with what they had.
The façade has two steep pitches clad entirely in limestone and bounded by symmetrical shaped buttresses. In the centre a slightly projecting section brings a semicircular flight of steps up to the portal in purplish porphyry, above which stand a large splayed oculus and the high relief of the Buon Pastore, the work of Eraldo Fozzer. The bell tower, on the left, is slender, in stone and plaster, with a sharp pyramidal roof of eight pitches.
Inside, the nave is single, covered by barrel vaults and divided into five bays, with the walls clad up to 2.60 metres in antique travertine marble from Rapolano Terme. The presbytery is raised by three steps and lit by five windows with stained glass designed by Pino Casarini, who also painted the apse fresco of the Invenzione della Santa Croce.
