The Stuva Nova was built around 1740 at the behest of the archpriest Ludovico Isidoro Ignazio Rovereti: a room with walls of carved and decorated Swiss pine wood, a Baroque stove and numerous paintings. On 5 November 1918, two days after the armistice of Villa Giusti, a group of Italian soldiers set fire to the rectory: furnishings and more than a thousand volumes from the parish library were lost, while the paintings were saved. The room was rebuilt between 1926 and 1928 by the Santini brothers of Fucine with a group of carvers, and in 2005, when the house of the Fondazione San Vigilio was inaugurated in the rectory, the seven restored 18th-century paintings and the carved tables returned to it.
