Chiesa dell'Immacolata

The new church took the name of the old one, which had to change its own.

It is a twentieth-century church, designed by Efrem Ferrari and built between 1948 and 1950. It replaced the old church of Ronzone, inheriting its dedication to the Immacolata, and the old church therefore had to be rededicated: since then it has been the church of sant'Antonio di Padova.

The interior walls were decorated in 1950 by the painter Carlo Bonacina, and the consecration took place on 27 May 1951, performed by Archbishop Carlo De Ferrari. The bell tower was erected two years later, detached from the building, and in the same year the church was raised to parish church.

The façade is gabled and divided into three sections: the central section is set between square pilasters and has a wall facing of courses of stone blocks, with a lintelled portal and an oculus. The roof is covered with larch shingles and projects over the central part of the façade, where it is supported by a wooden truss fixed to the pilasters.

Today in the valleys

Just a moment...

Gipthe bearded vulture of Valli del Noce

Hi, I am Gip. I am a bearded vulture: my species had vanished from the Alps in the 1930s, and the first one born in Trentino in at least a hundred and fifty years took flight from Val di Rabbi this past 16 July.

Ask me about places, the valleys or the people who work here. I answer with what is in our pages: if I do not know something, I will tell you.

Gip is an assistant based on artificial intelligence. It answers only with the verified facts in our pages. Your questions are processed by Anthropic, in the United States, and we do not keep them: do not write personal data. How we handle them.
