Chiesa del Santissimo Redentore
It was decided to build the new church without pulling down the old one.

In Faedo there was already the church of Sant'Agata, which however was no longer large enough for the population. The discussion was whether to pull down the old church and replace it, or to build a new one while also keeping the earlier one: in the end the second course was chosen. Between the painful decision, the disagreements over the exact site on which to build it and the problem of funding, work could begin only in 1898, after approval by the Austrian authority responsible, the Imperial Regio Capitanato, with the blessing of the first stone.
The most important structural work was finished in 1901, and the decoration followed immediately: the vaults of the hall were painted in tempera by Luigi Peschedasch. The church was blessed in 1902 and solemnly consecrated in 1910 by the Bishop of Trento Celestino Endrici. From that moment the curacy of Faedo, which had been based at Sant'Agata, almost certainly moved here.
It gained parish status in 1919. In the years immediately after the First World War the floor of the hall was relaid and the retaining structures of the churchyard were reinforced.
