Rifugio Ghedina
Hikers' hut halfway up the Val d'Algone, beside the chimney of a nineteenth-century glassworks.
The hut stands at just over 1,100 metres, roughly halfway up the Val d'Algone, the valley that descends from the Giudicarie del Brenta side, within the Parco Naturale Adamello Brenta. You can reach it by car along the asphalted valley road, which branches off the provincial road between Stenico and Ragoli. It stands level with an old nineteenth-century glassworks, whose original chimney can still be seen. It has ten beds, is open from June to September (on request also in May and October) and is a stage on the Dolomiti Brenta Bike cycling circuit.
