The Parco fluviale Alto Noce, managed as a network of reserves, was created in 2015 by an agreement between the municipalities and the Comunità della Val di Sole, the ASUC of Monclassico and of Arnago, the BIM dell'Adige and the Provincia autonoma di Trento. It protects the course of the Noce and of its tributaries, the Vermigliana, Rabbies and Meledrio, and brings together the three Natura 2000 sites of the valley (the Tonale peat bog, the Croviana alder wood and the dry meadows of Arnago) and the local reserves, linked by ecological corridors. It acts as a natural link between the Parco Nazionale dello Stelvio and the Parco Naturale Adamello Brenta: with its creation, 47 per cent of the Val di Sole has become protected territory.

Today in the valleys

Just a moment...

Gipthe bearded vulture of Valli del Noce

Hi, I am Gip. I am a bearded vulture: my species had vanished from the Alps in the 1930s, and the first one born in Trentino in at least a hundred and fifty years took flight from Val di Rabbi this past 16 July.

Ask me about places, the valleys or the people who work here. I answer with what is in our pages: if I do not know something, I will tell you.

Gip is an assistant based on artificial intelligence. It answers only with the verified facts in our pages. Your questions are processed by Anthropic, in the United States, and we do not keep them: do not write personal data. How we handle them.
