Museo della Guerra Bianca Vermiglio
At the Polo culturale di Vermiglio, the collection of the relic hunter Emilio Serra on the White War on the Tonale front.
The museum was established by the municipality in December 2006 at the Polo culturale di Vermiglio and displays the collection of Emilio Serra, a relic hunter who for decades searched the mountains of the Val di Sole, a theatre of fighting from June 1915 to October 1918. Texts and photographs recount the construction of the forts, the events of the Tonale front, the exodus of the refugees from Vermiglio and their return to a devastated village. The display cases hold weapons, uniforms, helmets and gas masks, objects of daily use, skis, crampons and straw overshoes worn by the lookouts, and Italian, Austro-Hungarian and German artillery shells.
