Chiesa di Santa Maria Assunta
Its first trace lay in a parchment from Castel Bragher.

A church existed at Mechel as early as the 12th century, and the first mention we have of it appeared on a parchment kept among the documents of Castel Bragher. After the pastoral visit of 1579, which found it in very poor condition, the old building was pulled down.
Between 1585 and 1586 a new one was built on the same site, taking as its model the parish church of Santa Maria Assunta in Cles, from which it later also took its dedication. But the title shifted for centuries: in the records of the early 18th century it appears dedicated to Santa Maria and Santa Margherita, then for a period to Margherita alone, and the return to the Assunta took place on a date we do not know.
In 1940 the relaying of the floor led to the removal of the tomb slabs that lay in the nave: all trace of those slabs has since been lost.
