Chiesa di Sant'Agata
A fresco left half finished, completed by a Baschenis two generations later.

First mentioned in 1244, it was partly rebuilt and enlarged in Gothic forms in the second half of the fifteenth century. The new presbytery was frescoed by Giovanni and Battista Baschenis, who however broke off the work without completing it.
What followed is rare to find: between 1516 and 1518 Simone Baschenis, of the same family of painters from Bergamo, took up and finished the work the two had left half done. The church was consecrated in 1530.
Between 1613 and 1617 the frescoes were almost certainly whitewashed, and they came back to light only with the restorations begun in the 1980s. The most recent works led to the discovery of a wall painting of the 13th century.
