Chiesa di San Vigilio
Tradition has it founded in the fourth century; the documents begin in 1391.

Local tradition holds that it was founded by Saint Vigilio towards the end of the 4th century, and this is not a groundless belief: the Roman road passed right beside it, near Castel San Pietro, and after the martyrdom of the saints Sisinnio, Martirio and Alessandro in 397 the bishop of Trento must have travelled along it.
The documents, however, tell a shorter story. The first certain attestation dates from 10 July 1391, when Bishop Gregorio granted forty days of indulgence to those who visited the church on certain feast days. An earlier mention, in notarial deeds of 1382, is reported by Simone Weber without citing the document.
In 1440 the lords of Castel Thun founded a bequest here for two masses a week, later reduced to six a year. In the first half of the 17th century the church kept the Eucharist and the baptismal font, even though it was not the parish church.
