Chiesa di San Romedio
Of the seventeenth-century decoration, only one fresco remains.

Not to be confused with the sanctuary in the Val di Non: this is a small church in Roncio, dedicated to San Romedio the hermit and also to the cult of Santa Barbara, so that it is also called the church of San Romedio and Santa Barbara. It was built in 1591 and solemnly consecrated on 23 January 1593 by Gabriele Alessandri, suffragan bishop of Trento.
Around 1601 the interior was decorated with frescoes by an artist linked to the school of Cipriano Valorsa, and ten years later the simple bell tower, a wooden bell-gable, was erected. In the eighteenth century the vault of the nave received stucco decoration.
It stands among the houses of the village, with a simple gabled façade enriched by a large canopy, the portal between two windows and a small churchyard enclosed by a low wall, open only at the front; the roof and the canopy are covered with wooden shingles. Inside, the nave is single with a cross vault and a polygonal apse, and on the right-hand wall a fresco of the Madonna and Child survives: the only one left of the seventeenth-century decorations.
