Chiesa di San Bartolomeo
In 1830 the bishop had half of it demolished.

They call it the little church of the maso, and it stands one kilometre from Romeno, in a place that is among the oldest settlements of the upper Val di Non: the finds from the Roman period say so. Between 1191 and 1214 a hospice for travellers was probably built here, which ceased to operate around 1400; what remains are foundation walls, vaults, an entrance with red stone jambs and a Romanesque fresco of the Virgin and three saints.
Today the church is almost square, nine metres forty by eight metres forty-five, but it was once twice as long: in 1830 the façade and the whole western part were demolished by order of the bishop. The restoration of 1923 replaced the masonry roof with a wooden one and brought to light the frescoes, which had been covered with lime in the eighteenth century.
Until a few decades ago, every 24 August, on the feast of Saint Bartholomew, the cattle fair was held here.
