Chiesa dei Santi Maurizio e Compagni
Of the old church only the bell tower was saved, and it still serves the new one.

Parish church of Tregiovo, a hamlet of Novella. A first place of worship dedicated to Saint Maurizio existed by the 14th century, but the first mention appears in the visitation records of 1695. It obtained its baptismal font in 1742, the eucharistic reservation from 1767 and curacy status in 1887.
Until 1788 the old church was judged sufficient. From that year the community asked to be allowed to build one in a less inconvenient position, closer to the village, and the prince-bishop Pietro Vigilio Thun consented.
Demolition began immediately. Of the historic building only the bell tower was saved, and it went on doing its job for the new church too.
