The bivacco Dino Marinelli stands at 2,075 metres on a grassy, panoramic knoll just below the summit of the Cimon di Bolentina (2,287 m), in the mountains between the Val di Sole, the Val di Rabbi and the Val di Peio. It is the only bivouac hut in the Vegaia-Tremenesca group, a little-visited corner of the Ortles-Cevedale that was left outside the Parco Nazionale dello Stelvio, and it is looked after by the Malé section of the SAT. You climb from Bolentina along paths 119B and 119 in about two and a half hours. From the bivouac hut you can go to the Cimon di Bolentina, the Piz di Montes and the Sass de l'Anèl, and in one hour to Malga Plaza dei Cogni.

Today in the valleys

Just a moment...

Gipthe bearded vulture of Valli del Noce

Hi, I am Gip. I am a bearded vulture: my species had vanished from the Alps in the 1930s, and the first one born in Trentino in at least a hundred and fifty years took flight from Val di Rabbi this past 16 July.

Ask me about places, the valleys or the people who work here. I answer with what is in our pages: if I do not know something, I will tell you.

Gip is an assistant based on artificial intelligence. It answers only with the verified facts in our pages. Your questions are processed by Anthropic, in the United States, and we do not keep them: do not write personal data. How we handle them.
