Area archeologica di Vervò
On the dosso of San Martino in Vervò, traces of life from the end of the Bronze Age to the Middle Ages, beside the church.

The archaeological area stands on a rocky spur beside the church of San Martino, in Vervò, in the municipality of Predaia. The site was known for the Roman sacred inscriptions found between the 18th and 19th centuries; the excavations carried out by the Provincia between 2008 and 2016 documented human presence from the end of the Bronze Age to the late Middle Ages. Among the main finds are a Raetic village of the 5th and 4th centuries BC, abandoned after a fire, with its typical semi-subterranean houses; a large Roman-period building reused in the early medieval period; and a small cemetery of the 6th and 7th centuries, whose ornaments are displayed in the Museo Retico di Sanzeno. After the restoration of the walls, it can be visited along a route with panels in three languages.
