Rifugio Stella Alpina al Lago Corvo
At 2,425 metres beside the Passo di Rabbi, the pass towards the Val d'Ultimo, a private refuge since 1952.
The Stella Alpina refuge at Lago Corvo, called Haselgruberhütte in German, stands at 2,425 metres a short distance from the Passo di Rabbi, the pass that links the Val di Rabbi with the Val d'Ultimo and that since ancient times has been a route for livestock between the two valleys. It is a private refuge built in 1952, in the municipality of Rabbi, on the edge of the Parco Nazionale dello Stelvio, at the margins of a glacial amphitheatre full of small lakes, the largest of which is Lago Corvo. You climb from Piazzola di Rabbi on path 108 in about three hours, or from Santa Gertrude in the Val d'Ultimo in two. From here you can continue towards the Rifugio Dorigoni and towards the Val di Bresimo.
