Monte Roen
The highest peak of the Mendola ridge.

Two thousand one hundred and sixteen metres, making it the highest summit of the Mendola ridge, on the border between the province of Trento and that of Bolzano. Its territory is shared among many municipalities of the Val di Non, from Romeno to Amblar-Don, from Sanzeno to Coredo: a mountain belonging to everyone and to no one.
It preserves a notable biodiversity for its altitude, with beeches, chestnuts, firs, pines and larches, and higher up deer, roe deer and chamois. In winter it is little frequented, because the only lifts are those at the Mendola pass and the Predaia pass, but it is a climb suited to snowshoes and ski mountaineering.
