Lago del Careser
It lies at 2,603 metres and collects the water of a glacier.

Lake Careser is an artificial reservoir in the municipality of Peio, at an altitude of 2,603 metres. It was built in 1931 to harness for hydroelectric purposes the waters that flow down from the Careser glacier, the same one that gives its name to the peak above it.
It is formed by a concrete arch-gravity dam 58 metres high, connected to the Malga Mare power station: the head is 635 metres, harnessed by a Pelton turbine for a maximum output of 12 megawatts and an annual production of 27.7 gigawatt hours. The water leaving the power station is then conveyed, together with that of the Noce, to the Pònt power station, in Cogolo.
The lake is also a point of passage for numerous hiking routes.
