The ecomuseum covers the whole valley, the Valéta, as it is called here: the north-western corner of Trentino, wedged into the Ortles-Cevedale, among the highest territories in the province. Seven villages, each with something to show: Comasine and its old mines, with the little church of Santa Lucia; Strombiano with Casa Grazioli and the ruins of the Casacia, a medieval tower; Celentino with the Casa dell'Ecomuseo and the alpine pasture museum at Malga Campo; Celledizzo with the wood museum; Cogolo, the administrative centre of the valley, with the old frescoed parish church; Peio Fonti with its thermal waters known since the 17th century; Peio Paese, the highest village in Trentino at 1,584 metres, with the Museo della Guerra Bianca, the Molìn dei Turi and the last rota-based dairy in the province.
