Cima Venezia
A kilometre of ridge that never drops below 3,300 metres.

The Cime Venezia, in German Veneziaspitze, are not a single peak but a chain of three mountains in the Ortles-Cevedale group, with a highest elevation of 3,386 metres. They lie along the border between Trentino and Alto Adige and separate the Val Martello, to the north, from the Val di Peio, to the south.
The Tre Venezie form a ridge of about one kilometre that stays consistently above 3,300 metres, and together with Cima Sternai and the Gioveretto they are the most imposing massifs of the Ortles-Cevedale group to the east of Monte Cevedale. They once overlooked the Ghiacciaio del Careser.
You can climb them from the Larcher hut, the Dorigoni hut, the Martello hut or the Corsi hut: the route is mountaineering terrain and takes between three and five hours, with difficulties that vary according to the itinerary. The classic outing is the traverse of the Tre Venezie, which takes in all of them from west to east, from Cima Marmotta to the Vedretta Serana; the Terza Cima Venezia, on the other hand, is a regular ski mountaineering objective, and is climbed from the Val Martello.
