The church of Pracorno originated from a donation: in 1802 don Domenico Manini, from the nearby municipality of Terzolas, gave the land needed to build it. Work began at once and the first building was soon completed; by the middle of the century the original church was rebuilt in the form it has today, and in the meantime it had been raised to the status of curacy of the ancient church of San Bernardo.

The solemn consecration was celebrated on 16 March 1851, by the hand of the Bishop of Trento Giovanni Nepomuceno de Tschiderer. In the 1930s Agostino Aldi enriched the interior with fresco decorations, and in 1943 the church was raised to parish status.

The gabled façade is in neoclassical style, with four pilasters supporting the large triangular pediment.

Today in the valleys

Just a moment...

Gipthe bearded vulture of Valli del Noce

Hi, I am Gip. I am a bearded vulture: my species had vanished from the Alps in the 1930s, and the first one born in Trentino in at least a hundred and fifty years took flight from Val di Rabbi this past 16 July.

Ask me about places, the valleys or the people who work here. I answer with what is in our pages: if I do not know something, I will tell you.

Gip is an assistant based on artificial intelligence. It answers only with the verified facts in our pages. Your questions are processed by Anthropic, in the United States, and we do not keep them: do not write personal data. How we handle them.
